We have the best of both worlds, with easy access to the hustle and bustle of Hilton Head, the arts and culture of both Savannah, Georgia and Charleston, SC just a bit further; all while enjoying our private sanctuary here on Daufuskie...we also have several equestrian facilities, miles of uninterrupted white-sand beaches, marshes, bird sanctuaries….a true paradise. The entire island is on the Historic Register.

Karen O'Grady
Karen and her husband Nathan made the move to Daufuskie Island after relocating here from the Philadelphia area. What started out as a second home to reconnect with family and friends became so much more. The decision to relocate to the Low Country and make this their forever home was one of the easiest decisions to make. Karen has had a lengthy career in the retail sector fixing, creating and expanding brands through her many years in the C-suite own major retail organizations. Her ability to manage complex businesses has been aided by her strong organizational skills and focusing her teams on putting the customers and clients first and in turn lead her to great success in her career. As a member of the Susan Taylor Team, Karen energetic and passionate approach to her business and customers along with her strong marketing background will add an another dimension to her team.
David Miller
A true love of his native South Carolina low country and coastal< br//>wilderness brought David Miller to Daufuskie Island in 2024 and Charter One Realty in 2025. An accomplished agent and REALTOR® formerly based out of picture-perfect Aiken, SC, David flourished in its luxury and equestrian markets and has numerous awards from his brokerages including Top Individual Agent and High Selling Agent. Passionate about ethics and compliance throughout his career, David continues to serve on the SC Association of REALTORS® Professional Standards Committee while being a partner on the award-winning Taylor & O’Grady Team.

Before beginning his adventures in real estate, David enjoyed a long, quite prestigious career as a national and international horse trainer and exhibitor. A multiple World Champion titled rider and trainer as well as a 2x Rider of the Year winner, David continues to use the business acumen gained in the equestrian world to guide his real estate clients towards successful, meaningful transactions.
A native of upstate South Carolina, David is a graduate of the College of Charleston and worked in the Theater industry before training horses. David spends his spare time exploring Daufuskie, romping with his dogs and 3 children, and continuing to actively ride and compete in the hunter arena.
Susan Taylor
Susan entered the real estate business directly out of college, making her a true lifer in this profession! She led a successful sales career in the Wilmington, Delaware area where she quickly became a lifetime member of the Million Dollar Club, back when a million dollars was a lot of money. As a career professional, Susan has served as the President of her local Association of Realtors and also served on many state and national committees and boards. She managed a top sales office for one of the country’s largest real estate firms where she was responsible for the training and coaching of a team of top-producing professionals. As a specialist in customer service and business development, she brings a depth of marketing experience to her practice.
Susan and her husband started the second chapter of their lives on Daufuskie Island, SC in 2006 where they instantly fell in love with the South Carolina Lowcountry, with the ultimate goal of making it their home. Now in the next chapter, Susan is with Charter One Realty as the leader of her real estate team where she brings her 30 plus years of real estate experience to Coastal Carolina.
